Today, with the rapid advancement of technology, it is very difficult to find old technological products. Especially the old devices produced by Apple are of great interest to technology enthusiasts. In addition to checks signed by Steve Jobs, the founder of the technology giant, the brand’s products produced in the past years and now rarely found can be sold at record prices. Finally, the unboxed 1st generation iPhone was auctioned and found a buyer at a jaw-dropping price. Here are the details…
iPhone 1 sold for 147 thousand dollars!
Introduced at MacWorld San Francisco in January 2007, the iPhone 1 had a small 3.5-inch screen and a 2 Megapixel camera. The smartphone went on sale in June of the same year for $499 (4 GB) and $599 (8 GB). However, it sold for many times more at auction today.
RR Auction auction house, known for selling Apple-branded vintage products, auctioned the iPhone 1 model released in 2007. The device with 4 GB of storage found a buyer for 147 thousand 286 dollars. It is not known whether the phone will work or not.
Just two months after launching the first iPhone, Apple stopped production of the 4GB version due to low demand. This makes the 4GB model much rarer.
